hey everyone,
i wanted to share a bit about the new idea i’m working on. it’s something that’s been on my mind for a while, especially as someone who shops online and talks to brands. sizing for clothes online is honestly broken.
think about it: most stores expect you to know your chest, waist, hip measurements off the top of your head. let’s be real, no one knows that. at best, people guess and hope for the best. that leads to clothes that don’t fit, frustrated customers, and stores dealing with high return rates.
the idea behind echora (the landing page is live at echora.xyz) is simple. i want to make sizing recommendations feel human. instead of bombarding people with measurements they don’t know, why not just ask them things they do know? their height, weight, age, and body type.
using that, we can use ai to recommend the best size. no more confusion. no more guessing. just a smoother shopping experience that feels personal and easy.
this isn’t just about making things easier for shoppers (though that’s a big part of it). it’s also about solving real problems for stores. better size recommendations mean fewer returns. fewer returns mean better margins, less waste, and happier customers who actually keep what they buy. it also improves conversion rates, because people are more likely to buy when they’re confident it’ll fit.
i actually have a first working poc live at makai.echora.xyz. it’s just an early version, but it shows what’s possible. i want to make this the norm for all clothing stores. my vision is that any brand, big or small, can plug this in and immediately give their customers a better, simpler experience.
online shopping shouldn’t feel like a gamble. it should just work. and sizing shouldn’t be something that stresses people out. that’s the goal i’m working toward with echora.
if you’re curious, want to try it out, or even just share thoughts and feedback, feel free to reach out. this is just the start, but i’m excited to see where it goes.
thanks for reading.
